- Free exams (SkillBridge track only): active-duty service members within 180 days of separation who are eligible for DoD SkillBridge or the Army Career Skills Program (CSP), with commanding officer approval. Separated veterans can't use this track. NPower's civilian Cybersecurity course requires 1-2 years of technology experience (or NPower alumni in good standing), a high school diploma or equivalent, legal authorization to work in the U.S., willingness to submit to a background check and drug test for placement, an honorable discharge or current Guard/Reserve service, and living in or near one of its listed cities

- Free 10-week live-online cybersecurity bootcamp for transitioning active-duty members (SkillBridge track), with training for CompTIA Security+, Linux+ and Splunk Core Certified User, plus career coaching and mentorship. On this SkillBridge track only, NPower pays the exam fees ("We pay for testing and credentialing"). Already separated? NPower's part-time civilian Cybersecurity course trains for Security+ and Linux+, but its page does not say NPower pays the exam fees (see Notes)

- Civilian Cybersecurity course for separated veterans (npower.org/apply/cybersecurity/): tuition-free, part-time online classes (Mon-Wed 9 AM-3 PM ET or Wed-Fri 10 AM-4 PM CT), about 5 months. Exam fees not stated; ask NPower. Listed cities: Baltimore, Dayton, Detroit, Dallas-Fort Worth, Harris County, San Antonio, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Francisco Bay Area, San Jose, Newark, New York City, St. Louis and Raleigh; NPower's FAQ says it offers no virtual classes to people outside its areas. The Sep 14, 2026 class has started and the next start date is not posted. Separate from the NPower Tech Fundamentals (Veterans) listing. NPower is an approved DoD SkillBridge and Army CSP provider.
