About Skills for Vets
Skills for Vets is a free, independent finder of training for U.S. veterans, service members and military families: 293 free and veteran-funded training, certification, degree, funding and support programs, each linked to its official page.

Skills for Vets is built and maintained by a veteran. It is an ET Labs project (etlabs.app).

How listings are checked
- Every listing comes from the program's official page, or the VA or government agency that runs it, and links back to it.
- Each program page shows the date it was last checked. Program details were last verified Sep 30 to Oct 4, 2026.
- Verify details means some eligibility, cost or format details were not clearly stated on the official page, so confirm them with the program before you apply.
- Programs that have ended or are not taking applications are marked Closed; links that stop working are rechecked and replaced with the program's current official page.
- Suggestions sent by email are checked against the official page before they are added.
- "Free" means free with no VA benefit needed. Programs paid through the GI Bill, VR&E (Chapter 31) or VET TEC 2.0 are labeled "Free with benefit". See the FAQ.
Independence and privacy
- Not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or any government agency. Not endorsed by any listed program.
- Free to use. No ads, no sign-up, no cookies and no tracking. The finder runs in your browser, so your answers stay on your device.
