VET TEC 2.0 training for veterans

VET TEC 2.0 (Veteran Employment Through Technology Education Courses 2.0) is a VA program that pays for approved non-college-degree training in high-tech fields, plus a monthly housing allowance and money for books and supplies. It is a new program, separate from the original VET TEC pilot (2019 to 2024), with different eligibility and entitlement rules. VA lists eligibility as a Veteran (other than dishonorable discharge) or an active-duty service member within 180 days of separating, with at least 36 months of active duty and under age 62 when approved. VA caps it at 4,000 paid participants per fiscal year and says it is funded through September 30, 2027. The listings below are VET TEC 2.0 itself and programs that may work with it; always confirm the specific program is approved for VET TEC 2.0. Source: VA: VET TEC 2.0 (checked Oct 4, 2026).
